For some time now I have noticed that the Acropolis hill appears on newscasts and on other broadcast media, from the west, from the north (lately) but never from the south, except for Herodeion with part of Eumenous’ Stoa. Appearing that we should not see the Theater of Dionysus I admit that I have been concerned that Mr. Korres and the Minister of Culture, Ms. Lina Mendoni, might have something in mind similar to the concrete works that were suddenly built on the plateau of the Acropolis hill, violating the principles of conservation and protection of archaeological sites, principles owed by the archaeological service to serve and respect. My concern peaked when I heard Mrs. Mendoni announcing the restoration-reconstruction of the Propylaean staircase of the Roman Period which … “will be approved by Christmas”. Therefore, the question is reasonable, how this approval is known in advance?
